When designing to grab attention but are working on a tight budget don’t let the creative suffer. We illustrated a building and the art was the wow factor but we also got to print on beautiful paper so the piece would make an impression. No foils, or special inks. Just simple and tactile that left people wanting more.

Talk to your printer for ideas if you can’t figure out how to WOW with a small budget. Tell them what you’re working with and then work backwards from there.

When you need something to be awesome sometimes you just need to make it yourself and cut out hiring out for anything but the necessities. In this case we were the artists and graphic designers. All we needed to do was make it clean, classy and quickly.

Ask the printer how you should deliver the files in order to emboss or print for letterpress printing. They’ll walk you through the different option and even have samples to show and talk about.
